  1. Hello Team 1,
Jerry Spinelli is one of my favorite authors. He has written lots of great novels. This one is different, because he tried to make it seem as if it was a true story, even though it is fictions, so he did a lot of research. he was worried that he wasn't qualified to write it because he was a survivor, but he wanted to tell the story because the Holocaust affected him so much.

I look forward to reading your posts.

    1. Well I don't think the fact that he's a survivor should make him feel that way,and he shouldn't be discourage because it's just his first time doing something new.I personally think this novel wouldn't be so different because so far it is very interesting and I'm having a great time reading it.

As much as you are I am also looking forward to chatting with you. -Rachel

  3. I agree on his talent of writing. Unfortunately, this is the only book I have read by him, yet it’s fabulous! I am currently on page 62. In my class I have to pick quotes in the book that stick out to me! I have an outside connection to the novel - have you ever read Forged By Fire by Sharon Draper? There's this character whose name is Gerald - he's like a caretaker for his sister, Angel, and I can relate that to Uri and Misha Pilsudski in Milkweed.

    1. I'm in salsa dance classes! I love them I would recommend them to anyone! I don't like karate because I move up in belts way to fast and its no longer a challenge which I like challenges. I need more of a challenge that's why I moved on to dancing.

Thank you for chatting me hope to talk to you more!
